JUMLA TO RARA TREK

Jumla To Rara Trek

This trek is probably one of the most incredible and fascinating treks with its unique tranquility, blending well in perfect harmony with the surrounding mountains and beautiful landscapes. Rara Lake, situated at an altitude of 2980m, is the focal point of the trek. This pristine lake with the crystal clear water surrounded with pine spruce and juniper forest is part of the Rara National Park. Surrounded by blue pine, black juniper, Himalayan spruce, oak and Himalayan cypress, the trail is very much “Off the beaten track” and offers fascinating cultures and scenery, different from others in Nepal. The trek goes through remote countryside towards the Tibetan border.

Summer rainfall is low, but winter snow can be heavy and persistent. Since the region is fairly high and free from monsoon thunder–storms, the summer season is ideal for trekking.
