JOMSOM MUKTINATH TREK

Jomsom Muktinath Trek

This trek is suited for those who want to see the combination of lifestyles of the mountain people and deserted plateau above the tree lines. You will share the trail with trains of donkeys and ponies traveling to Mustang and other areas in the far north of Nepal. The walk is very pleasant with few ups and downs most of the way up to Ekali Bhatti (Lonely Inn) where there are five or six teahouses exist at present. From here the path splits into two ways the higher up leads to Muktinath whereas the other leads you to Upper Mustang and Tibet via Kagbeni. Our trail leads past Ekali Bhatti towards northwest Muktinath which is a very sacred place for Hindu, Buddhist pilgrims and ascetic Sadhus alike. The temple is situated in a gorge full of trees with 108 water ponds emerging sacred spring water. The mountain views are superb
